Why does my radar detector go off when I get near a school bus? If I pass a school on the road, my radar detector starts to go crazy. Do they have some sort of radar emitting device specifically designed to make those with radar detectors go for their first instinct and slow down when it chirps? Or is it some sort of GPS (or something else) that they have,and having radar detectors go off is merely an attractive coincedence?
there are usually some kinds of metal detectors or other device scanners sometimes at schools and this causes this.
