Lol I used to make vb6-based hacks for WarRock.
Man, I came to really hate that game after all the crashes, but flying 50000 feet up in the air at the push of a button... hovering above buildings... shooting with infinite ammo... and other crazy shit made it well worth it.
I also learned a good amount of memory editting with it (thank goodness none of the values were encrypted).
Now I'm focusing 100% on learning how to make cheats for CS:S. Just beginning to break through C++ learning
